State TeleCommuting Assistance & Incentives

Telecommute Connecticut shows the way. Company in Connecticut and looking for a powerful tool to promote a company telecommuting program? Get a copy of Connecticut's video Telecommuting: The Road to Success. The rewards of a TeleCommuting program straight from the mouths and experiences of companies doing it. This short but impressive video is free to resident companies, but companies in any state should offer money to get one.

Telecommute Connecticut will help design and/or launch a TeleCommuting program completely customized for a state business or organization -- based on previous successes. Two training options are offered. Materials to help you conduct your own training program in-house. Or, if you prefer, Telecommute Connecticut specialists will conduct training programs at your place of business. They'll even show your TeleCommuters how to set up a home office.

Georgia Teleworking Tax Credit. The law provides $20,000 credit for a telework assessment, and a $1,200 per employee credit for teleworkers that meet a certain threshold of time teleworking for the years 2008 and 2009. The measure sunsets in 2010, a provision that gives the Department of Revenue time to review the program's success.

Oregon Department of Energy Tax Credit. Employers who adopt TeleCommuting are eligible to apply for Oregon´s Business Energy Tax Credit. Also, to encourage the reduction of vehicle commute miles, employers may provide financial incentives to an employee to TeleCommute. 

Telework!Va incentives. Companies can receive as much as $3,500 per employee (for up to ten employees) to establish a TeleCommuting link, lease home office equipment or pay for office space at a convenient telework center.
